One-day arts, crafts and music festival on Saturday, June 13th!

To showcase Galway’s incredible cultural talent we’re working alongside the guys at Ait Eile to host a one-day ‘pop-up’ arts, crafts and music festival on Saturday, June 13th!

The fine people at Galway Arts Centre have allowed the Ait Eile team to take over the magnificent Nun’s Island Theatre for the day, where they will be bringing you the best in local independent culture. The focus of the day will be to demonstrate a new model of community and  cultural infrastructure, publicise an online software service that will facilitate Galway’s creative community, and build public support for further development of the Ait Eile Project.

They have teamed up with Access Music Project Galway, Foróige, Citóg Records, local artists and musicians and the Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture bid team to put together a fantastic day of outdoor acoustic gigs, an indoor marketplace of locally made arts and crafts, Djs and awesome local food.

In the morning the team from Ait Eile are hosting a #Galway2020 speak out with a twist! Císean Ciste is a very special Meetup for members of our community to propose cultural and community projects as well as demonstrating new models of funding! To register to speak at the event contact tom@aae.ie!

At night we’ll be up the front watching a sweet line-up featuring Canaries,Boyfights, Oh Boland and many more. All brought to you in amazing BYOB technicolour!

Admission is free during the day, and €10 in for the BYOB gig at night.

Come along, support your own, have a dance, be bold. Check out the line-up and stage times below!
