As part of Galway’s bid to become the European Capital of Culture in 2020, a mass public engagement campaign throughout Galway City and County is being undertaken. To date the Galway 2020 bid team has hosted six very successful and inspiring public Speak Out events at which members of the Galway public have shared their ideas & visions on how to build a better Galway.
In addition to the public Speak Out events which will take place throughout the summer months a series of more intimate, sectoral specific Focus Groups will also take place. The first focus group of this series will focus on the role of ‘Food’ in Galway’s bid to become the European Capital of Culture. The focus group will take place in Galway City Council ‘City Hall’, College Road on Wednesday 15th April at 2pm.
From farmers and producers to chefs and restaurateurs all members of the wider ‘Food’ world are invited to share their ideas and visions on what role Food could play in Galways bid to become the European Capital of Culture 2020.
For further queries about the event or to submit any ideas or visions for discussion at the focus group contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Join the Galway 2020 conversation on Twitter at @galway2020 and on Facebook at Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture.
