The Choir

“There are 109 girls in total involved in the Scoil Mhuire Senior Girls choir, and a cohrort from the choir will take part in Cros-Sing, brining a youthful and contemporary dimension to what promises to be a magical musical experience.

Our choir has selected a number of pieces that reflect the beauty of  local environment and which celebrate our unique Irish culture and heritage and have participated in various singing and artistic workshops throughout this week conducted by Phillip Schenher and Daniela Voráchová from Stage Code. The choir has also rehearsed  in Renville Park alongside the Marine Institute Choir and Cois Cladaigh Choir.

The Experience

“The pupils have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The are buzzing with excitement at the prospect of being part of the Cros-Sing. Renville park is a place of beauty and joy. It’s a place where children play and enjoy the great outdoors, and is the perfect place to merge culture and nature. The local school is at the heart of every community and this 2020 initiative  recognises and values the energy, vitality and hope for the future that children bring to the daily life of every community. ‘Mol and óige agus tiocfaidh sí’.”
