Symphonic Waves is an exciting new youth orchestra for the West of Ireland, inspiring young musicians to achieve their highest musical potential.

It will showcase the wealth of musical talent of the region and create a sustainable performance music education legacy for young musicians on Ireland’s western seaboard.

Formed in 2017, the idea for the ensemble came from the music education community in Galway who saw the need for high-level progression pathways and performance opportunities for advanced young musicians aged between 13 and 21 years from Galway, Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Clare, and Limerick.  Symphonic Waves is produced by Music Generation Galway County.
