International Music Series, The National Concert Hall, Dublin in association with Galway 2020.
Across the pages of Laurie Anderson’s All the Things I Lost in the Flood is a series of essays on the collaborative relationship between images and language. A pioneering artist in the realm of technology, Anderson’s practice spans drawing, installation, film, sculpture, software, theatre, music and more.
In this intimate reading-performance, she shares insight into her use of voice, electronics, code, narrative and digital language. The evening includes a preview of unpublished images as well as an inside look at the artist’s methods, inventions, strategies, failures and ‘plan B’s’. Peer into the creative process, and discover stories of performance, transformed by performance.
