The Headford Lace Project commissioned award winning artist Róisín de Buitléar to create a permanent artwork for Headford to honour and celebrate the town’s lacemaking heritage as part of the Galway 2020 Small Towns Big Ideas‘ project Lace Matrix.
Organisers were looking for input from the Headford community and held three workshop in March 2019 with Róisín to explore ideas of what and where this public artwork should be.
All workshops were free to attend and no art experience was necessary.
