Shot by the Sea was a Galway 2020 Small Towns Big Ideas film project in which new and experienced film makers made a five-minute short film during the month of March 2019. This project invited individuals and groups from the community to come together to share resources, and make exciting short films along Galway’s coastline.
For those who didn’t own film equipment, film could be shot on a mobile phone, or digital camera. All genres of film were welcome, from comedy and romance to history and horror, as were all forms of film – narrative, experimental and animation.
Shot by the Sea hosted four workshops to support all filmmakers who were working on films for the project throughout the month of March. All workshops were free to attend but registration was required.
