Shot by the Sea is a Galway 2020 Small Towns Big Ideas film project in which new and experienced film makers make a five-minute short film during the month of March 2019. This project invites individuals and groups from the community to come together to share resources, and make exciting short films along Galway’s coastline.
For those who don’t own film equipment, film can be shot on a mobile phone, or digital camera. All genres of film are welcome, from comedy and romance to history and horror, as are all forms of film – narrative, experimental and animation.
Shot by the Sea will host four workshops to support all filmmakers who are working on films for the project throughout the month of March. All workshops are free to attend but registration is required. To book your place or for more information email shotbythesea@gmail.com.
