Symphonic Waves is set to expand with the addition of Brass, Woodwind and Percussion sections to the Orchestra.
The orchestrea is calling young, enthusiastic wind, brass, or percussion players from Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Clare or Limerick to get tuned in and get involved. If you are aged between 13 and 21 with a Grade 6 playing standard or above, organisers would love to hear from you.
They are looking for players of the following Instruments:
Brass – French horn, trumpet, trombone, and tuba
Woodwind – Flute, oboe, clarinet and Bassoon (limited places)
Percussion – Timpani and general percussion (limited places)
Strings – Violins, Viola, Cello, Double Bass (limited places)
The next audition day with conductor James Cavanagh takes place on 10 March in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir, Claregalway.

Symphonic Waves is a West of Ireland Youth Orchestra which was set up in 2017 as part of Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture in collaboration with Music Generation Galway County.
