As part of a series of events to mark International Day Against Racism 2021 Galway 2020 Wave Makers are making two creative statements to demonstrate their stand against racism.
On Sunday 21 March International Day Against Racism the Galway 2020 Hub will present the #TogetherAgainstRacism Exhibition. This large window exhibition will feature a specially commissioned artwork by local artist and Wave Maker Enda McCormack and also the hashtag #TogetherAgainstRacism in different languages reflecting the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Wave Makers group and the universal message of No to racism.
A group of Galway 2020 Wave Makers have created a powerful video to mark International Day Against Racism. In it they recite lines from the famous poem by Maya Angelou ‘Still I Rise’.
The video was filmed and edited by Vinny O’Sullivan
