This Sunday 30 September at 3pm, a unique outdoor performance – The Fisherwives – will take place at The Spanish Arch.
As a part of Galway 2020’s Small Towns Big Ideas programme, Brú Theatre has created this stunning street performance, based on the Fishmarkets of Galway 100 years ago.
Mixing masks, folklore and fish, The Fisherwives will be silently weaving their way through the Spanish Arch selling their catch.
The Fisherwives was created in association with Claddagh Community School, Galway City Museum and Atelier für Physisches Theater (Berlin).
Brú Theatre are a newly formed Galway based company. Find more information on Brú here.
