Connecting the Dots Exhibition launch

Connecting the Dots is an inter generational Small Towns Big Ideas project that connected primary school children with older generations through music and art.

The project, presented by Ballinasloe Active Retirement Association, The Galway Music Residency and its resident artists ConTempo String Quartet, artist Finbar247, Europe Direct Ballinasloe Library and students from Scoil Uí Cheithearnaigh and Scoil an Chroí Naofa.

Through a number of facilitated workshops with ConTempo Quartet and Finbar McHugh, the participants worked together to create visual representations of their collective experience of the quartet’s performances.

The resulting exhibition of this project was launched on Thursday, 16 May as part of Bealtaine Festival and will run until the end of May.
