Open Call for Artistic Performances at FRESH STREET#3

The ISACS Network, comprising Circostrada, ARTCENA and Culture Ireland, in partnership with Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture are delighted to launch an open call for performances at FRESH STREET #3, the international seminar for the development of street arts.

The ISACS Network, comprising Circostrada, ARTCENA and Culture Ireland, in partnership with Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture are delighted to launch an open call for performances at FRESH STREET #3, the international seminar for the development of street arts.

 

Taking place 22 to 24 May, 2019 in Galway, as part of the Galway 2020 programme,  FRESH STREET#3 will bring together artists, programmers, researchers, pedagogues, journalists, and policymakers from all over the globe for a multidimensional event focused on the development and promotion of street arts.

 

FRESH STREET #3 is a fantastic opportunity for artists to showcase their best work in front of hundreds of performing arts programmers and curators from nations around the world. Professional artists from all disciplines and genres who are keen to perform live and present their work outdoors are eligible and have until midnight on 1 February 2019 to apply.

 

Craig Flaherty, Cultural Producer, Galway 2020 who will be on the selection panel said:

Galway has a great tradition for outdoor and street arts and I’m delighted that Galway 2020 are hosting the FRESH STREET #3 symposium.  Through this exciting event we can share the streets and spaces that have played host to so many incredible Irish and International artists over the years.“

Over 250 international delegates passionate about street arts will take part in panel discussions, workshops, professional exchanges, and exploration of the local context including a visit to the Aran Islands as part of the Galway 2020 supported event. Delegates will also experience a number of outstanding artistic performances to be curated from this open call.

About FRESH STREET#3:

As a result of their partnership with Circostrada, the ISACS Network will host the International conference FRESH STREET#3 in partnership with Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture. This event is scheduled to take place from 22 – 24th May 2019. It will see over 250 international delegates with a professional background and passion for all things street arts from all over the world in attendance. Artists, Practitioners, Programmers, Producers, Festivals, Stakeholders, Policymakers, Journalists and more will make up the audience.

The theme of this event is ‘Place and Identity’ and is driven largely by the global and local crisis that the world is experiencing currently in relation to how we relate, feel and perceive same.

The event will be hosted by the National University of Ireland, Galway, with a one-day exploration of place and identity on the beautiful Inis Oírr – Aran Islands, Atlantic Ocean, Galway.
