Unfortunately this event has had to be postponed due to current COVID-19 restrictions. Rescheduled dates for the event will be announced as soon as possible.
In 1975, world-renowned sculptor Richard Long created ‘A Circle in Ireland’ on Doolin Point, County Clare. Over the years, the stone circle has fallen into disrepair. Burren College of Art students and staff are collaborating with Clare Arts Office and Galway 2020 to restore the circle during a performative event happing at the site on 31 October. The performance will take the form of a ceremonial group restoration on the elemental, karst limestone coast line near Doolin Pier.
Those attending will gather at Doolin Pier car park at 1:30 pm. Bring warm, rain proof clothing. Be aware some of the terrain is quite unstable and may not suitable for small children or those with difficulty walking and climbing.
This is a free event but booking is essential.
