Cie Carabosse is one of France’s most celebrated street arts groups, transforming streets and parks all over the world into flickering artworks that remind us of the most basic and elemental human need for warmth and light.

For Galway 2020, Cie Carabosse will be doing something truly audacious: creating a huge new piece that will be situated in and around a ruined monastery, filling its abandoned buildings with glimmering light, leading the audience on an illuminated trail that evokes the journeys taken by pilgrims hundreds of years ago.

The installation will be brought to life each night through an hour-long lighting ceremony.

Following guidance issued by the Government in relation to measures to contain Covid-19 it is with regret that Galway 2020 has made the decision to cancel this event. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
