Regarded as one of the top summer festivals in Europe, Galway International Arts Festival is Ireland’s largest multidisciplinary festival.

In recent years festival productions have toured the globe to critical acclaim and a number of major new Irish theatre productions and visual art commissions, including John Gerrard’s Mirror Pavilion, will receive their world premieres at GIAF 2020.

Live music at the Heineken Big Top, a European Street Spectacle Programme, Irish and international theatre, circus, opera, music and visual arts, as well as the Festival Garden and an expanded First Thought Talks Programme will make for a huge explosion of art and ideas across 14 extraordinary days. The festival will also produce a First Thought Talks Autumn Season in October at NUI Galway.
