Home Truths is an exhibition inspired by women’s testimonies of their court experiences. Having reported incidents of domestic abuse, many women’s subsequent treatment at the hands of the legal system is disempowering and discouraging. Having entered these arenas with women, artist Evelyn Glynn has created a sound installation that interweaves their testimonies with work from artists under invitation to respond.

Originally developed as part of Galway 2020’s Wild Atlantic Women weekend in March 2020, the Home Truths exhibition had to be postponed due to COVID-19. The exhibition can currently be viewed online at Engage Art Studios and will be presented in full this November to coincide with the annual 16 Days of Action campaign against domestic violence.

Venue and Opening Hours to be Announced.
