Creative Edenderry is working in partnership to seek new ways to consider, through creativity, what is distinctive about Edenderry.

Our Place?, will harness the imagination and talent of local artists and communities through co-created online and live activities which engage topics of Belonging, Family, Diversity, Renewal and Regeneration, and culminate in a celebratory festival in March 2021.

As part of this discovery, Creative Edenderry will be launching a new project on Culture Night. Through this project, titled Shoes of Edenderry, Creative Edenderry’s network will develop an exhibition, including images, stories and audio recordings of local people who worked in Edenderry shoe factory. The project / exhibition is planned to be disseminated both online as a virtual exhibition and as physical exhibition in vacant shop windows on Culture Night.

Our Place?, is a new initiative devised by the network group Creative Edenderry, a cultural empowerment initiative involving Edenderry community, Offaly County Council Arts Office and Voluntary Arts Ireland.
